Key Features

Description

The Arles Primes from DZOFilm derive their name from the French town in which Vincent van Gogh garnered inspiration for some of his most influential work.

The blistering fast T1.4 maximum aperture and Vista Vision coverage make the Arles 35mm from DZOFilm a power filmmaking tool. The relatively compact size and weight provide versatility usually reserved for much higher priced cinema lenses. Industry standard focus and iris gears with consistent position across the set make the Arles a convenient choice for professional cinematography. A common 95mm front ring provides a familiar mounting point for standard matte boxes and filter trays.

The Arles Prime comes equipped with a PL mount. Canon EF mount sold separately.

Incredible Lens

Solid build quality, neutral look, very smooth and clean bokeh, heavy vignette on the edges on full frame though. I personally like the vignette, but it was a surprise for being a vista vision coverage lens. focus rings are smooth and light, aperture ring is tighter but still smooth. includes a pack of shims. I shimmed this 35mm with a +0.02 shim for use with the Sony FX6 + DZO octopus PL adapter. Minimal adjustment needed, i was just focusing past infinity and wanted it to be precise.
