Description
The Explore Scientific Two-Room Pop-Up Go Observatory Tent is a portable alternative to a permanent roll-off-roof observatory, built for astronomers who want their telescope protected from wind, dew, rain, and dust without a fixed structure. Its pop-up design sets up in a couple of minutes by releasing a band and pegging it to the ground, aimed at anyone who wants to spend their limited dark-sky time observing rather than assembling poles. Two 60-inch square rooms let a user run computer gear in one room and a telescope in the other, or set up two full telescope systems.
- Two 60in x 60in rooms: 50 square feet of total space with 5-foot walls and 6-foot wind-break walls, enough for gear and a telescope side by side.
- Pop-up setup: Releases from its pack and connects via a velcro seam between rooms, setting up and tearing down in a couple of minutes.
- Folds to a 27in disk, 4in thick: Travel-friendly enough for transport in a small car or on an aircraft for remote expeditions.
- Black-out coated fabric: Blocks stray light from entering telescope optics while withstanding outdoor conditions.
