The Corning 50 Meter USB 3 A to uB Optical Cable extends USB 3.1 Gen 1 connectivity to distances copper cable simply can't reach, using Corning's optical fiber technology. It's aimed at production and AV setups that need to connect a USB device 50 meters from its host computer without a repeater or hub in between. An all-metal housing keeps EMI performance clean even at that distance.
