The NiSi Cinema 6.6x6.6" Linear Polarizer Filter is built for cinematographers who need to cut reflections and boost sky and foliage saturation in-camera. It suits DPs shooting landscapes, water, or glass surfaces where post-production can't fully replicate a true polarizing effect. Because polarization can skew autofocus and metering, it's best used with manual focus and exposure.
- 99.9% Polarization Rating: Nitto polarizer film combined with NiSi optical glass achieves a 99.9% polarization rating.
- Resin-Sealed Edges: Resin-sealed edges keep moisture out for improved durability.
- Reduces Glare and Haze: Cuts reflections on non-metallic surfaces and reduces atmospheric haze while boosting sky and foliage saturation.
- Affects AF and Metering: Best used with manual focus and manual exposure, since polarization can skew in-camera autofocus and metering.
- 4mm Cinema-Standard Thickness: Fits the 6.6x6.6" standard used by leading matte boxes, at a 4mm thickness compatible with filter cages or cageless designs.
