Description
The NiSi 72mm Ti Pro Nano UV Cut-395 Filter uses a titanium alloy frame instead of the usual brass or aluminum, which matters most in cold-weather shooting where lighter metals can get brittle and heavy.
The glass itself is NiSi's standard optical glass with a nano coating tuned to cut UV light.
- Titanium Frame: titanium alloy frame with a density of 4.54g/cm3 (about half the volume-weight of steel) and roughly twice the hardness of aluminum.
- Cold-Weather Durability: titanium's anti-corrosive, heat-resistant properties hold up well at very low temperatures, with a melting point around 1942K.
- Optical Glass: H-K9L standard optical glass, known for high homogeneity and low impurity.
- UV Cut Coating: nano coating cuts UV light below 395nm while adding a waterproof, anti-scratch surface.
- Finish: matte black electroplated interior to reduce reflection, with a diamond-cut titanium-finish outer ring.
