The NiSi Cinema 4x5.65" Nano IRND Hard-Edge Graduated 0.9 Filter (3 Stop) is built for cinematographers shooting flat, even horizons like a desert or the open sea. It selectively darkens a bright sky by 3 stops while leaving the rest of the frame at normal exposure, something a camera's limited dynamic range can't do on its own. A hard transition line suits scenes where the horizon is straight rather than uneven.
