The Explore Scientific 52° Series 10mm Waterproof Eyepiece sits at a focal length most amateur astronomers consider close to mandatory in their kit, useful for fainter deep-sky objects that need more light gathering than higher-power eyepieces allow.
It's fully sealed against moisture and built with a flat-field, multi-element optical design.
- Apparent Field: 52° apparent field of view, well-suited to fainter deep-sky objects at a 10mm focal length.
- Optical Design: 6 elements in 3 groups with EMD (Enhanced Multi-Layer Deposition) coating on all lens-to-air surfaces.
- Waterproofing: O-ring sealed and argon-gas purged, tested under 1 meter of water for 30 minutes.
- Eyecup: removable, flip-down soft silicone rubber eyecup.
