The Explore Scientific Nebula Filter Oxygen III is a 1.25" narrowband astronomy filter that isolates the two oxygen emission lines to boost contrast on nebulae that glow in OIII light.
- Passband: Transmits light from 483nm to 511nm with a peak at 496nm, at 96.7% transmission.
- Best Use: The highest-contrast filter in the series for observing supernova remnants and other nebulae that emit strongly in OIII.
- Effect on Other Objects: Reduces visibility of broad-spectrum objects like galaxies while revealing otherwise-invisible nebula regions.
