The Panasonic AW-UE160 is a 20x zoom 4K PTZ camera built around a newly developed 1-inch MOS sensor, aimed at production teams covering concerts, worship, sports, and broadcast events who need remote camera coverage without a full crew on sticks. Its optical low-pass filter is specifically useful for productions shooting against LED walls, where moire is a common problem with PTZ and robotic cameras. As the first PTZ camera to support the SMPTE ST2110 standard, it's built to integrate directly into IP-based broadcast systems rather than needing an external converter.
- SMPTE ST2110 support: First PTZ camera to support IP-based broadcast video transmission over the SMPTE ST2110 standard.
- Optical low-pass filter (OLPF): Optically reduces moire when shooting against LED walls, a common issue in rental, staging, and worship productions.
- High bandwidth NDI and NDI|HX: Transmits 4K video at up to 250Mbps and full HD at up to 125Mbps for low-latency live production.
- Phase detection autofocus (PDAF): Combines phase and contrast detection for fast, accurate tracking of moving subjects.
- FreeD protocol output: Streams Pan/Tilt/Zoom/Iris data via Serial or IP for direct integration with AR/VR virtual set systems.
- SRT and RTMP/RTMPS streaming: Streams directly to services like YouTube Live and Facebook Live, or over unstable networks via SRT.
- FHD 120fps high-speed capture: Captures smooth slow-motion replays for sports broadcast use.
