Description
This shield lets you build a custom camera control solution by pairing an Arduino controller with Blackmagic's SDI control protocol, embedding control signals into the program return feed to operate compatible cameras like the Blackmagic Studio Camera or a URSA Mini running the Studio Camera firmware. It's the same open protocol used to send tally, gain, focus, iris, and color balance commands from an ATEM switcher, so a DIY Arduino setup can trigger the same controls a broadcast switcher would. Because it communicates over I2C, it's also compatible with other microcontrollers, including the Raspberry Pi.
- SDI-embedded camera control: sends tally, gain, focus, zoom, iris, and color balance commands via the SDI program return feed.
- Same protocol as ATEM switchers: compatible with Blackmagic Studio Cameras and URSA Mini running Studio Camera firmware.
- Arduino-based custom control: works with a separately available Arduino controller and downloadable IDE software.
- I2C bus interface: also compatible with other I2C-capable microcontrollers, including the Raspberry Pi.
