Description
The Sync Generator is Blackmagic's Mini Converter for generating and distributing genlock reference signals across an SDI-based facility, keeping multiple cameras and devices synchronized to a common timing source. Like the rest of the Mini Converter line, it auto-switches between SD and HD formats and includes a redundant SDI input for mission-critical broadcast use, so a single cable failure doesn't take down your sync chain.
- Genlock sync generation: provides a common timing reference for synchronizing multiple cameras and SDI devices.
- Auto SD/HD switching: supports NTSC, PAL, 1080i, 1080psf, and 720p formats, with new formats addable via USB.
- Redundant SDI input: automatically fails over to a backup input cable if the main SDI input is lost.
- 3 Gb/s SDI technology: field-upgradable via USB for future format compatibility.
