The Blackmagic Design 2110 IP Converter 8x12G SFP adds SMPTE ST-2110 IP video to existing 12G-SDI broadcast equipment, letting facilities move toward IP infrastructure without replacing every SDI device at once. It's aimed at broadcast engineers building or expanding IP-based facilities who need multiple bidirectional SDI-to-IP conversion channels in a single rack unit. A shared 12G-SDI program return input can feed all channels simultaneously from one source.
- 8 Independent Bidirectional Channels: Eight independent bidirectional 12G-SDI to SMPTE-2110 IP video converters use SFP modules, supporting optical fiber for long distances.
- 10G Ethernet for Ultra HD: Supports Ultra HD over low-cost 10G Ethernet infrastructure.
- Shared Program Return Input: A dedicated 12G-SDI program return input sends a single feed to all eight channels simultaneously.
- 1RU Rack Design: Fits a standard 1RU rack space alongside other broadcast infrastructure.
- PTP Clock and NMOS Support: Conforms to the SMPTE ST-2110 standard including PTP clocking and NMOS support for router-panel connections.
