The EtherWAN EL2211 is a media converter built to bridge 10/100/1000BASE-T(X) copper Ethernet to 1000BASE-SX/LX/BX fiber, aimed at network installers extending Gigabit Ethernet over fiber runs in enterprise environments. Its Link-Fault-Pass-Through function, switchable via DIP switch, notifies connected devices if a link fails so network operators can catch problems faster. Jumbo Frame support up to 9K bytes keeps throughput efficient for larger data transfers.
- 10/100/1000BASE-T(X) to 1000BASE-SX/LX/BX conversion: Bridges copper Ethernet to fiber at Gigabit transmission rates.
- Link-Fault-Pass-Through (LFPT): Notifies the connected device and disables the connection if a link fails, DIP-switch selectable.
