Description
The EtherWAN EX78900H is a hardened, DIN-rail mounted managed Gigabit PoE switch built for network infrastructure that can't tolerate downtime. It's aimed at integrators running security, transportation, and outdoor infrastructure networks where a standard commercial switch won't survive the environment. Eight Gigabit PoE ports and dual-rate SFP uplinks give it the port density and fiber connectivity needed for camera and access-point deployments spread across a site.
- 90W PoE per port: IEEE 802.3bt PoE delivers up to 90W per port with a 360W total power budget, enough to run PTZ cameras and other high-draw powered devices.
- Fanless hardened design: Operates from -40°F to 167°F (-40 to 75°C) in a fanless aluminum enclosure rated IP30, built to survive vibration, thermal shock, and electrical noise.
- Fiber uplinks: 2 dual-rate 100/1000BASE SFP ports extend the network over fiber alongside the 8 copper Gigabit PoE ports.
- Lite Layer 3 routing: Supports static routing, RIP v1/v2, and OSPF, plus VRRP redundancy to keep traffic flowing if a switch fails.
- Enterprise management: CLI, Telnet, and Web GUI access with SNMP v1/v2c/v3, RADIUS/TACACS+ authentication, port security, and up to 4096-entry ACLs.
- Switching capacity: 32Gbps switching fabric and a 5Mpps forwarding rate with a 16K MAC address table.
