This 32mm eyepiece is part of Explore Scientific's 62° Series, built as a flat-field, multi-element ocular with a near-parfocal design so swapping eyepieces doesn't force a full refocus each time. Its wide 62° apparent field of view and good contrast make it well suited to averted vision technique, looking slightly to the side of a faint object rather than straight at it, which puts the image on a more light-sensitive part of the eye for viewing dim deep-sky targets.
