Description
The EX-XL is built for supporting large telephoto lenses without adding much weight of its own — a hollowed-out body and ball socket keep it to 562g (19.8oz) total while still handling a 40kg (88.2lbs) load capacity. A large main adjustment knob has a rubber grip with friction control, and a separate 360° panning clamp lets you make fine adjustments without touching the main lock. The ARCA/RRS-compatible quick-release clamp, which shares the same hollowed-out weight-saving design as the ball, comes with an Explorer EX-60 QR plate and an oversized release lock so the camera body doesn't block access to it.
