The FieldCast Fiber Base One is a four-channel fiber optic converter built as the control room or OB van counterpart to FieldCast's Fiber Node One, letting a single SMPTE fiber cable carry power, control, and video between the two units. It delivers four channels of 3G-SDI output plus Ethernet I/O to the switcher, and any PTZ controller connected to Fiber Base One shares the same network as a controller connected to Fiber Node One — both can control any camera on the system. It's built for remote production setups where the camera-side hardware lives in a flight case while the control side sits in a truck or control room.
- Single SMPTE Fiber Connection: One SMPTE 311M/304 cable carries power, video, and communication to Fiber Node One.
- Four Channels of 3G-SDI Output: Matches Fiber Node One's outputs exactly, functioning as a remote-equivalent system.
- Shared PTZ Control Network: A PTZ controller on Fiber Base One controls the same cameras as one connected to Fiber Node One.
- Universal Power Pass-Through: Accepts 100-240VAC input and passes the same voltage level through its SMPTE connector output.
- Ethernet I/O Included: Supports multiviewers, recorders, and other network-connected production gear alongside SDI.
