The National Geographic SRT70MM is the same 70mm achromatic refractor platform as Explore Scientific's other National Geographic-branded scope, but this kit adds a solar filter so you can safely view the Sun in addition to the Moon, planets, and brighter deep-sky objects. Like the rest of the line, it ships as a complete package rather than a bare tube — two eyepieces, a mount, a tripod, and a travel bag are all included. It's a good fit for a beginner who specifically wants to add safe solar observing to their options.
