NiSi 49mm ND-VARIO Pro Nano 1.5-5 Stop Enhanced Variable ND Filter

The NiSi 49mm ND-VARIO Pro Nano is an enhanced variable neutral density filter that gives you 1.5 to 5 stops of exposure reduction in a single 49mm screw-in filter. Density is set by rotating the filter's silver control knob, and the transition through the range is smooth and continuous — so you can dial in exactly the exposure you need instead of swapping fixed ND filters.

For video and cinema work, where shutter angle and frame rate are fixed, a variable ND is what lets you keep a wide aperture and shallow depth of field in bright light. For stills, it opens up long-exposure techniques like blurring water or moving crowds in daylight.

Note: NiSi recommends variable ND filters on focal lengths of 35mm and longer. On very wide lenses, cross-polarization banding can appear at the strong end of the range.
