The Opticis M2-110 (30m) is an all-optical USB extension cable that links a USB device up to 130 feet (40m) from its host with no repeater required, using VCSEL and PD technology to maintain full USB protocol over that distance. It ships as an A-plug-to-B-plug cable, giving complete galvanic electrical isolation between the USB device and controller -- something copper USB extensions can't offer.
