The Sony VCT-14 is an all-metal quick-release tripod adapter plate built for mounting professional shoulder camcorders — a spring-loaded wedge receiver keeps the connection rigid and wobble-free. It replaced the discontinued VCT-U14 and remains the standard mount for Sony's broadcast shoulder cameras.
