Softron OnTheAir CG

Softron OnTheAir CG is a character generator for the Mac built to add lower thirds, crawls, and animated graphics to a broadcast or livestream without a dedicated hardware CG box. It's designed to pair directly with OnTheAir Video or OnTheAir Node, publishing graphics items those playout applications can trigger automatically as part of a show. Its Live Input feature lets it composite over an actual live feed rather than only pre-recorded clips, which is what makes it useful for real-time production rather than just pre-built graphics packages.

• Built-in RSS crawl: Generates a scrolling crawl (left or right) directly from an RSS feed for news-style lower-thirds.
• Live input compositing: Adds Live Inputs, using either a real video input (AJA, Blackmagic Design, etc.) or a direct link to receive frames from OnTheAir Video or Node running on the same Mac.
• Single-output workflow: With the direct link feature, one video output device can carry both the underlying video and the CG graphics, without a second capture card.
• OnTheAir integration: Publishes graphics items for use by OnTheAir Video and OnTheAir Node's automated Attributes system.
• Animated media support: Plays animated image sequences or video clips as graphics elements, and can be controlled remotely.
