Tiffen 82mm Magnetic Control System Variable ND Filter (1.5-10 Stop)

Tiffen's Magnetic Control System variable ND in 82mm, covering 1.5 to 10 stops. Two things separate it from a standard VND: the magnetic mount, which snaps the filter on and off a magnetic adaptor ring in a second, and the wider range, which takes you from light overcast all the way to a 10-stop long exposure on one filter.

• 1.5 to 10 stops: A wider range than a typical 2-8 stop VND — no second filter needed for long exposures.
• Magnetic mounting: Snaps onto the magnetic adaptor ring rather than threading, which is far faster mid-shoot.
• Detachable control lever: A removable lever gives precise rotation with gloves or on a gimbal, and comes off when it would be in the way.
• Hard stops: Limits at both ends of the range keep you clear of cross-polarisation artefacts.
• ColorCore glass: Tiffen laminates the ND layer between optical glass for consistent, neutral density.
• 82mm thread: Fits 82mm lenses directly; step-up rings cover smaller threads.
