The NOVOFLEX ASTAT-SL is a tripod lens collar built specifically for the heavy Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 2.8-4/24-90mm ASPH and Apo-Vario-Elmarit-SL 2.8-4/90-280mm lenses. It moves the tripod mount point closer to the lens's balance point rather than the camera body.
