Description
The Viltrox NF-E is a manual-focus adapter that mounts Nikon F lenses onto Sony E-mount camera bodies, including a built-in focal reducer (speed booster) element rather than a plain pass-through tube.
- Mount Pairing: Adapts Nikon F-mount lenses, including both G and non-AI/AI lenses, to Sony E-mount camera bodies.
- Aperture Ring: Includes a manual aperture ring with 8-stop range markings for direct f-stop control on the adapter.
- Optical Elements: Contains 5 elements in 4 groups, which increases maximum aperture by roughly 1 stop and improves MTF versus a plain adapter.
- Focal Reduction: Reduces effective focal length by 0.71x, offsetting APS-C crop so the image size sits closer to the lens's actual focal length (e.g. 50mm becomes roughly 53.25mm equivalent).
- Tripod Foot: Detachable tripod foot is compatible with Arca Swiss, Markins, and Photo Clam ball heads.
- Compatibility Note: Not fully compatible with full-frame Sony A7/A7R/A7S bodies, which must be switched to APS-C capture mode when using this adapter.
- In the Box: Includes the adapter, two lens caps, and a carrying case.
